Response to COVID-19
We hope that you and your family are continuing to stay safe and healthy. As the COVID-19 pandemic has developed, it has become clear that the way we are able to interact with our clients has changed for the foreseeable future. Despite that, our goal at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists remains to be able to continue to provide the best veterinary care to pets in our community, while keeping the safety of our clients and team members at the forefront.
As federal and local safety guidelines change and develop, we want you to know that our team is working hard to enact safety measures within our clinic to allow us to continue to provide care for your pets.
What We’re Doing
Curbside Concierge Service
Curbside concierge service is available if you prefer. It is also available for individuals who have tested positive for COVID within the last 7 days and do not have anyone else available to bring their pet in. If you are receiving curbside service, call us when you arrive and our team will come out to your car and escort your pet to and from their appointment, offering you a contactless visit. We will also be happy to deliver any medication and prescription food right to your vehicle.
All team members are provided with masks, gloves, and sanitizer stations. We’d like to thank everyone who worked hard to secure these essential supplies for our team!
Just like in a human ER, we see emergency patients based on the life threatening nature of their issue. It is possible that patients who arrive after you will be seen first. Our staff will keep you updated on our emergency status and will be there to answer your questions.
Our team members will strive to maintain 6 feet of distance from you for our mutual safety.
Healthy Team Members
We’re taking team health seriously, with measures including temperature checks, frequent handwashing, and self-check procedures.
Enhanced Cleaning & Sanitizing
Our hospital is cleaned and sanitized frequently, using EPA approved disinfectants, with special attention paid to heavy touch areas like doorknobs, phones, and computers.
What We’re Asking You to Do
If you are coming in for specialty service, please call us to book your appointment in advance. For emergencies, we request that you call ahead to discuss your case and begin the triage process and minimize your wait time.
We have procedures in place to limit contact during the payment process to keep you and our team members safe.
Remain in Your Car
If you are receiving curbside service, to keep both you and our team members safe, please stay in your vehicle and call us to let us know you have arrived for your appointment.
Wear a Mask and Practice Social Distancing
We ask all clients to wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of distance from our team members and other clients.
Keep your Cell Phone Close & Charged
We may be communicating with you via your cell phone during your pet’s visit, so we ask you to make sure it is on and charged during the appointment.
Be Patient as We Serve You
Our team is working extremely hard to follow safety guidelines while providing the high level of veterinary care you and your pet deserve. Please be patient and kind as our pet health heroes care for your furry friends.
