Internship Program

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists offers a rotating internship and specialty internships (such as ECC). These are one-year programs. Our mission is to produce functional emergency doctors that practice a high standard of care and foster critical thought when making medical decisions. In support of these goals, the CCVS internship program works continuously to advance animal health and well-being by providing educational experiences for interns while providing outstanding veterinary care. We strive to uphold our central values of a drive for excellence, accountability, trust, respect, commitment, professionalism, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and compassion.

To Apply:

The applicant must be a veterinarian who is able to obtain a MA license. From October to February, applicants should submit their application through AAVC’s Veterinary Internship and Residency Matching Program Here. Through other times of the year, please submit inquiries for more information and opportunities to recruiting@capecodvetspecialists.com.

Testimonial-
“Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is a busy emergency and specialty hospital that has a sincere focus on individual growth and learning. Through my emergency and critical care internship, I was provided with many unique learning experiences including hands-on surgical training with board-certified veterinary surgeons, involvement with patients involving mechanical ventilation and weekly educational rounds sessions. As an intern I always felt that my opinion on case management was taken into consideration and never felt unsupported by senior clinicians. This program provides its interns with the training and the tools to become effective, critical thinking clinicians with the ability to succeed in any future endeavors. While this was not a traditional rotating internship, it did not hinder my matching with an academic residency program (despite not having completed a rotating internship prior) and I will be going on to complete a residency in internal medicine.”
