You never need an appointment for an emergency, but if possible, please give us a call and let us know you are on your way. This will allow our team to be fully prepared for your arrival and can begin treating your pet right away.
What will happen when I arrive at CCVS for an emergency?
When you arrive at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists for an emergency visit, our client care team will greet you at our reception desk to find out the nature of your pet’s emergency. After that, you will be met by a veterinary technician, who will examine your pet.
Our hospital operates much like a human emergency room, where patients are triaged and attended to by our emergency veterinary team according to level of urgency. You can rest assured that your pet will receive the best possible care from our emergency team, who are overseen by specialists who are board-certified in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies. We also proudly offer premiere specialty veterinary care for your pet in close partnership with your referring veterinarian. Our specialists are board-certified in emergency & critical care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, and ophthalmology.
