About Dr. Tamulevicus
Dr. Tamulevicus graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Prior to attending veterinary school, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Muhlenberg College, followed by a Master of Science degree from Rutgers University. After graduating from TUSVM, she did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey, and then completed a three-year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Kansas State University in 2008.
Since then, Dr. Tamulevicus, who became board certified in Internal Medicine in 2010, has been practicing mostly on the east coast, including New York City, New Jersey, and the Philadelphia area. She has strong interests in all aspects of internal medicine, and particularly enjoys complex endocrinology cases; immune diseases; gastrointestinal diseases; and infectious diseases.
Dr. Tamulevicus performs abdominal and thoracic ultrasounds; various types of endoscopy – including upper and lower gastrointestinal biopsy and foreign body removal, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy, and bronchoscopy; and bone marrow aspirate; as well as other procedures. The comfort level of her patients, as well as the involvement and understanding of the owners of those patients, is extremely important to her and is a priority in determining diagnostic and treatment planning.
When she’s not working, Dr. Tamulevicus’ enjoys kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga, hiking, music, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She grew up in New Jersey and is happy to call the east coast home along with her husband, who is also a veterinarian. They have a very busy household with five very active and loving cats — Chadwick, Rosalita, Cassandra, Eli, and newest member William.
